Does my business need a website?

This question is asked more often than you may imagine. In the old days, traditional advertising methods worked well. We all used the Yellow Pages, Thomas Register, Trade Magazines and other print media. These sources of information are still around but even they have migrated to the Internet to continue to be effective. In today's world, people turn to the Internet for instant information. A quick Google search will yield more potential vendors in a few seconds than hours spent "letting your fingers do the walking"
To be competitive, any business or organization should have a Web Presence of some kind. Without it, you will simply miss out on substantial opportunities for new clientele. Additionally, there are a lot of sites, created years ago, that do not reflect well on the businesses they are meant to represent. These could benefit from a good makeover to stay fresh-looking and keep a competitive edge. Remember, your website is your online representative, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If it looks a little shabby, potential customers will notice. That could influence them to form an unfairly low opinion of your operation from the get-go.
